Magnetic bulletin board from old pizza pan you can make at home! 

It was high time for me to get a new pizza pan, so I used the old beat up one to make this bulletin board. Since there are a lot of bright, busy colors in my sewing area, I went for a more subtle print, but fun and colorful fabrics would look great on this! 

You need: 

• cookie or pizza pan (thrift it!) 
• fabric : a medium weight woven cotton will work best for this (woven = it won’t stretch out into weird shapes, medium weight = magnets won’t have to go through too thick of a layer and it will be easier to fold and glue the outside edge to the back). Your fabric should be at least 2 inches wider than the diameter of your pan, cut in a circle.
• craft glue (I used Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky Glue, but Aleene’s classic tacky glue would work just fine too. I love Aleene’s!) 
• binder clips or clothes pins
• use of a drill 

Do it: 

1. Drill a hole near the top so you can hang it from a nail (refer to photo above). 
2. Press your fabric to remove any wrinkles or creases. Seriously, it will be worth it!
3. Squeeze craft glue over the back of your pan. You want enough to smear a thin, consistent layer but not so much that it’s thick and gloppy. Spread the glue over the surface with your fingers. Be sure to cover up to the outer edges. 
4. Lay your fabric on top of the pan, centering it to make sure you have an inch border of fabric hanging off the edges of the pan.
5. Start in the center, pressing your fabric down and smoothing it outward from the center as you go. Smooth out any wrinkles. Press it down firmly to make sure it’s adhered to all areas of the pan.
6. Wait at least 30 minutes for fabric to dry.
7. Find your drilled hole and poke through the fabric with a seam ripper or nail. 
8. Flip the pan over. Cut pizza-pie shaped notches into the outer perimeter of your fabric, about every 1” - 1 1/2” (see photo above). The notches should not go as deep as the edge of the pan. This will help your fabric stay flat when you glue it to the back! 9. Spread craft glue with your finger along the outer lip/edge of your pan. Fold your outer edge of fabric down around the edge of the pan, pulling it gently to keep it taut (refer to photo above). If you’re using regular craft glue, you can try letting it it start to dry for a few minutes before you stick your fabric down. This will help it stay put more quickly. You can also use the binder clips or clothes pins to hold the fabric down until it dries. 
10. Let it dry fully, then hang it up and use magnets to create your idea board/photo display/list collection!
